Well, i really have no choice but to admit that am not so good at these blog things. Its like donkey ages since i last posted something here. hm, Trondheim is just so good. But before i talk about that, am going to talk about something that u might find silly but i dont. Guys, there is no season as lovely as fall! the picture i have here isnt the best but those colours are just too good. Its like a whole new creation! well, when i was young, i always asked my parents why they couldnt plant those beautiful coloured trees at home. they tried explaining but it just never sank! After seeing it for myself, i think God is so amazing! I dont think a normal sensible man would still try to convince himself that there's no God, that the world came into existence by evolution or the big bang! Even if u try to convince yo self, i know that at the back of yo mind, u know there's an all powerful God somewhere! face the facts!!! you cant run away from it! am sorry to e preaching on a blogspot. just remember that we can use anything to preach the gospel.

And this is Per, one of the guys that came to Uganda last year. He is really my good friend and am planning to visit him for X-mas assuming all factors remain constant. He is so cool and a very nice guy by the way. Ha! He doesnt like "African time" so watch out when u deal with him!!!

Oh! and let me just have the honour of introducing Pamela to you all. She is so sweet! i think she's the best team mate i will ever have. I dont think i know her much but what i know is that she is so kind, sweet and very close to God, much closer that me ofcourse! We are going to leave together in Trondheim so just imagine how much fun it will be. I love her so much and am really glad that God put us together!

Faith, Ingrid and Inger johanna

Meet Ingrid. She is a very nice girl. am not sure if she has any form of prejudice in her heart. i think the world needs more of such people. She is sooo cool!
There is also Inger Johanna, my dearest room mate. Oh! She is so sweet. i think she has actually realised that am abit lazy! She never complains atall. am just wondering if i actually hurt her or she doesnt mind my laziness!!! She's so sweet too. And guess what? She's coming to Uganda for her practice! i know she's gonna have alot of fun. i wish i was there to take her around and show her all those cool stuff!!! Never mind, she'll surely enjoy.
Ingrid is going to Madagascar. i dont know much about it except the fact that it has some of the coolest beaches in the world. so, get ready to become a fish on two legs!!!

The mountains

Eh! man, i cant forget the trip to the mountains. It was so much fun to meet especially the students and the people we will be working with. And u know the funiest bit? They are all new in the office so am extremely glad we are all learners and some how i think i have more experiences though in a different setting. i have worked with students before and had so much fun so am praying that the context will not be a very big issue:.. hopefully.
On saturday 15th september, we set out to the mountains on a day that had this kind of weather that everyone would look upto. Its termed as "good weather" but from the bottom! Understand me well... it was so bad!!! so rainy and i guess the temperature was about -5.If u have been in this, then u'll know what i mean. it was so cold and actually snowing and yet from what i have gathered, winter is not expected until december!
So, this weather was so "good". we were about 40 who went for the mountains: the brave ones, we thought. Anyhow, to cut the whole story short, i froze on the way!!! is that possible anyway?
i felt so cold and decided to come back. am not Norwegian and i just cant handle the coldness. That reminds me, how am i going to handle the winter? Am still trying to get it into my big head!

That was the forest trip and ofcourse the part with the snow. it was actually snowing! and guess what, i touched it!!!

The Town or City?

Its a very pretty city and to me i guess its alot more real than Mandal. Mandal is just like a fairy tale town to me but Trondheim kind of looks more real. Okay, that is really funny and i know it!!!
We visited a few places like the famous church... Oh! forgotten the name for now. guess i'll get it for u guys, soon. That is not a promise! It's so pretty inside and am just wondering why we were not allowed to carry cameras. its still a question on my mind. hERE, Just check it out!

We really had no programs that day and i guess that is quite unusual with some people who think everything should always be well structured. Well, am not sure if it was the issue with our Norwegian guides. First of all, i was so amazed. There are these two friends, strangers by then, who just offered to take two strange African girls around town. i had never thought about this but till now, i realise it was really a big thing. They could have stayed in their classes studying but opted to take us around. We enjoyed every bit of that time and even though we had no programs, it ended up good enough for me.

I really want to write these things as good as it was but i dont seem to be so wordy today. Maybe because am listening to this music and ofcourse it makes me lose my senses at times. strange, i guess!!!

The are very nice people. i just cant wait to see them again and work with them.

They took us out for coffee and Pizza later, the Ugandan style ofcourse, if u know what i meanAnd it was abit strange to us again. we just wondered why they chose to cover the bills yet we could have afforded!

Trondheim

Hey!
The last time i was here, i was going to leave for Trondheim in a matter of minutes. i never had access to a computer and ofcourse no time to sit on one anyway so i couldnt update this spot. Am finally back and i have really never thought about this before but oh! it feels so good to be back at Hald. i really missed it so much and from what i gathered, all the other students missed it much more than me. its more like home to us now. Just imagine this: we are going to be away from this precious place,from all the friends we have made and from Mandal for 6 solid months!!! Am just waiting to hear what we will say then coz now it doesnt seem real yet but with time, i expect reality to sink.

Anyhow, that aside, Trondheim is such a beautiful place. u cant believe this but it was like my first time to have real fun, enjoy myself for real since i came to Norway. As usual with the sensual types, i have no explanations for the way i feel but i just know its how am feeling. i loved the place. Our apartment is so cozy. I loved it. Maybe u should see some of its interiors. looks simple but really cool. Check it out!!!

U can actually be idle!!!

There are times, am telling u when u just get so idle. am not exceptional. on this particular night, i think i was feeling so homesick and idle. i thought i should get something to do with myself so i thought: why not get a camera and go taking pictures on the road? its exactly what i did. and guess what time it was... about 11.30 pm! now, to me, that is really late coz usually am in bed or getting ready. it was so much fun by the way. this place has very fresh air and i really enjoyed being there. i also had sometime to think about my own life and how special i am to God. i never paid anything to come here and now i get to enjoy all these. I still dont know what God sees in me but i just keep praying that i never let Him down. Whatever He brought me here for, i jsut pray that He helps me to accomplish. i get really homesick but i know myself. i just need to listen to some music, talk with people who like me before i get back to my real self. its really taking me so long to be myself but i know when it really happens, i will surely know.
I dont really like to be an introvert and am glad am not one. i think its quite boring to stay silent all the time. Besides, your 'munn' can get to smell. thats really a silly idea, Faith. where did u get that from? i need to get back to the jolly, jumpy girl i really am. Life is so much fun that way with no worries at all: Hakuna matata as the Kenyans put it. God help me get back, pliz!

By the way, am really cute! Did u ever notice that? i love to appreciate myself. Except for the black ugly mark that Norwegian weather has left around my mouth of late. i hate it so much and am real praying that it goes off before i notice it. i dont have to have some negative memory about this very beautiful land. oh! this is quite enough for now. catch u later! draft by Faith Chagara 3:12:00 PM Delete

Hey!
Its so amazing that am now a blogger after alot of stress! At first, i opened a blog spot and forgot all the details like password, username!!! isnt that so funny! i've just had to start everything afresh. i had to change everything.
Today, we are leaving for Trondheim at exactly 12pm from Hald, to Kristiansand to catch a plan. we'll be in Trndheim at around 4.30pm. I guess i'll update u then. Am quite anxious, as usual ofcourse, when am going to travel. My ears are already hurting like they did the day we arrived maybe cos am scared of heights!!! When will i develop anyway???
Oh! i really have to go now. i have a presentation of my country in just 10 mins!!!
